Profile of Dr. Zhou (Pronounced “Jo”)
Dr. Zhou (Pronouced Joe) is a licensed physician in California. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology(ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American college of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
Dr. Zhou completed her residency training in all fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda North Hospital as well as at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She received many awards during her residency training. After graduation in 2006, she joined Women Caring for Women in Burlingame, California. She was recognized as one the top 100 physicians in the Bay Area.
Having delivered thousands of babies during her career, she is also an expert in abdominal, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and vaginal surgeries, such as removal of uterus or uterine fibroids, all modes of endometrial ablation, removal of abnormalities of the ovaries or fallopian tubes. Dr. Zhou is one of the few gynecologists in the Bay area who has completed training in robotic surgery, a form of advanced minimally invasive surgery. She also performs thorough infertility workup, ovulation induction, and intrauterine insemination. Her surgical and clinical skills have been enhanced by continuous learning from state of the art conferences, and collaborations with excellent sub-specialists.
Before moving to the United States, Dr. Zhou had practiced 7 years as an OB/GYN in a tertiary hospital in Beijing, China. Because she has been exposed to Western and traditional Chinese medicine, she is able to help patients who would like to incorporate alternative medicine into their care.
She is highly regarded by her patients and colleagues and enjoys long-term relationship with her patients. Her accomplishments have been reported by regional publications. She has lectured to the community and professional peers to foster patient education and scholarly exchange.
